PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Different from the conventional water-based odor control solutions with a lot of disadvantages, SiGen’s Mosquito-free Odorless Catch Basin uses a completely innovative dry odor prevention mechanism that effectively overcomes these limitations.

During the heavy rain

The water pushes the odor-blocking panel to open, maximizing the water drainage area, allowing rainwater to flow out from the road surface more quickly, thus significantly reducing the occurrence of flooding.

After the rain

  • The odor-blocking panel closes by gravity, completely preventing any foul odors and insects from escaping the catch basin.
  • The remaining water is completely drained by osmosis through the filter, helping to keep the auxiliary catch basin dry. This helps eliminate the breeding environment for mosquitoes and minimizes the decomposition of organic matter that causes foul odors.

Quick drainage

Thanks to its flow-optimized design, SiGen’s Mosquito-free Odorless Catch Basin significantly increases water drainage speed, thereby reducing the risk of flooding during heavy rainfall. At the same time, thanks to its effective odor-blocking capability, it helps to reduce the need for people to plug the catch basins to prevent foul odors. Therefore, it helps to promote unobstructed water flow.
In 2019, this solution was tested on the 5 most heavily flooded and polluted roads in Vung Tau city. After successful testing, since 2021, SiGen’s Mosquito-free Odorless Catch Basins have been widely deployed in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and many localities across the country.

    Hinge mechanism

    • Anti-theft: Cast iron caps cannot be removed with common tools. Additionally, the cast iron material itself makes it difficult to sell if it is removed.
    • Easy opening, closing and dredging: Significantly reduce the time required for opening and closing the catch basin covers as well as keep the waste in the catch basins dry for easy dredging with rudimentary tools.
